Art Noveau Tarot*: If you like stained glass, you will absolutely adore this deck from Matt Meyers. The rich jewel
tones of the cards combined with the breath taking imagry of the Major Arcana proves to be just a wonderful experience by
it's self. Then, you see the minor arcana and it proves stunning.
In this deck, each suit portrays a bit of a story in images via these 'stained window' images when viewed collectively.
This has been employed in other decks as well, but I've yet to see the same quality of earthy yet spiritual imagry as in this
deck. For readings, this is a good general purpose deck.
Tarot Art Nouveau: Antonella Castelli has created a very romantic deck. The images are vivid and filled with light,
as though you are looking thru a Tiffany window. This deck lends itself well to readings focused on love and emotion.
Barbara Walker Tarot*: A student of mythology will find this deck to be a delightful surprise, as it includes some
obscure references in here as well as the more well known ones as well. This deck is based off of the myths that Barbara Walker
discussed in her book The Secrets of the Tarot. While I have not read her book The Secrets of the Tarot, I have
used this deck. It is far too simple to say that this is an intense deck.
The Barbara Walker Tarot has some very graphic cards including partial and full nudity. Some cards present images that
are mildly alarming if one is not prepared for it, with the Queen of Swords being an excellent example. In this card, the
Hindu goddess Kali is depeicted consuming the intestines of a man lying at her feet, both of which are nude.
Visually, this is a complex deck with a wide range of colors and emotions presented. For readings, this deck is excellent
for general and highly focused readings. I must advise my fellow readers, this deck is as blatant in the information it conveys
as the unabashed imagery on each card.
Egyptian Tarot*: This monochromatic deck makes up for the lack of color and "pretty" details with it's interesting
composition of imagry. Heavily referencing the mythology of Egypt and the occult systems attributed to Thoth, this is a surprisingly
direct deck. If you do not have any background in Egyptian mythology, this will be a difficult deck to read with. Visually,
it is fascinating in it's details that are applied.
The Essential Tarot: This small deck is part of the Tarot to Go kit. The imagery is akin to standard Rider-Waite based
decks, Mary Hanson-Roberts interprets the standard imagery with a collection luminous, cherubic scenes. This is a wonderful
all-purpose deck.

Faery Wicca Tarot: Kisma K. Stepanich and Renee Christine Yates have together created a lovely deck. This is different
from the standard tarot deck for the addition of five cards. The five cards served to help add a unique depth to these readings
by allowing one to incorporate elements of Ogham reading into a tarot reading. The deck draws shamelessly from Irish and Celtic
myth and is quite beautiful. This deck is excellent for a wide range of topics, having both whimsical and deeply spiritual
undertones.
Gill Tarot*: Elizabeth Gill has created a deck of bright, jewel-like color. The essence of the deck is optimism and
it lends itself well to matters of the heart. I generally have found that this deck is also well suited to readings for younger
querants, as it has a youthful feel to it. The imagery is stunning and visually easy on the eyes within the major arcana.
The minor arcana have more of a modern art feeling to them, but it still is quite pleasant. There is alot of light in the
coloration of this deck, but it lacks the airy feeling that most decks that have bright colors in them.
The Goddess Tarot: This deck created by Kris Waldherr is extremely feminine, as to be expected. The Major Arcana uses
imagery from religions and myths all around the world. The Minor Arcana are associated with particular goddesses and the stories
surrounding them. This deck is a powerful tool for feminine empowerment. It also is very good for addressing emotional and
spiritual matters.
Old English Tarot: Maggie Keene has created a truly breathtaking tarot deck. Her strong imagery is not only in keeping
with the Rider-Waite standard but it also clearly hearkens back to the elegant images from the early woodcut prints of Renaissance
England's introduction to the printing press. This is an excellent general purpose deck.
